I started a post about how much time we're spending in front of the television this week. The Ken Burns series on the National Park is airing for two hours (or more) every night and we're right there watching it all. With no commercials, it's a lot of TV viewing for two people who don't spend a lot of time there but we're learning a lot and marveling at the beautiful scenery. Four nights down and two to go. But as blog entries go, it just wasn't flowing.
So I began writing about the Scrap by Color feature at Scrapbook.com that allows you to upload a photo and suggests coordinating color palettes to make starting your page easier. See...I even did a screen capture to illustrate what you'd see.
With one click you can see what your photo will look like against the suggested colors...or change them to something new. Needless to say, they're also going to suggest products they sell that fit that color palette but that's fine. You might be interested in shopping from their suggestions or realize you already have the same thing or something similar in your stash. There's a video demonstration of how it all works as well as a color wheel you can manipulate as well. I abandoned the post half-way through as I just wasn't feeling it.
And I thought about writing about the absolutely perfect day we had today. I had to put on sweat pants and a jacket to walk this morning but it warmed to shirt-sleeve weather. With the humidity down, I threw open the doors and windows to air out the house while we worked in the yard. Wayne must have exclaimed "What a beautiful day!" five or six times today...and he was right. But such a post would only be meaningful with a photo or two and I didn't pause in my yard chores to take any.
So this is all I've got.
That is wonderful! Thanks, can't wait to use it. Love your new blog banner.

I have been watching the Ken Burns series too. Beautiful photography. Wasn't John Muir and interesting person. Gotta read more about him.

This is a great post, not a disappointment. I like the PBS series but don't love it -guess that sounds terrible - I suppose I was hoping for a bit more travelogue vibe in addition to the historical perspective. Is that so wrong?
Interesting link there, I'd like to try this out, might help me figure out my layouts with less stress!
