**This should be interesting. I'm typing on the teeny tiny iPhone keyboard.**
We're in for the night, settled comfortably in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It was an easy drive with stops for a couple of caches and a scrapbook store along the way. And we finished off the day with a walk down along the namesake lake. A little something for everybody.
I spent more than a mile or two of the trip today with my nose in the manuals that came with the car. It wasn't that we were having mechanical problems; we were just trying to figure out how things worked. Like why the map screen stayed in the daylight mode after dark. (We'd turned the dash lights up to maximum.) And how to add in a waypoint once you have a destination already programmed in. (Very cool!) Best of all, what that weird little "i" means at the interstate interchanges. (Names of restaurants and service stations located there.) I loved the navigation system in Tillie but this one definitely has some slick additions.
It's on to San Antonio in the morning. My mouth is watering at just the thought of Mexican food.
**I half expect this to show up in little type since I typed it on a little keyboard!**
Good to hear that the first leg went well. Great job typing, too. How fun to discover new things...at least you aren't afraid to read the manual!
