I've spent the day dragging Christmas decorations down from the top of the closet. Yes, it takes me a while to get into the spirit of things. As much as I love my decorations, I can only handle the extra "clutter" for a couple of weeks. December 10...that's about right for me, although I did do the front door a week ago so I get bonus points for that.
I do, however, have all my shopping done...a feat unheard of for me at this point in the holiday season. We can thank Wayne's upcoming surgery for that. I didn't want him to miss out on all the "fun" of shopping. Never fear though, nothing is wrapped and there's always the possibility that I'll come up with some last minute idea that will have me out in the stores when crowds are at their peak. Cards and baking? I have no idea where I'm fitting those in.
Today's lap around the Internet did produce some holiday cheer I thought should be shared. If you're on Facebook, you've probably seen it but if not, it's definitely worth watching as a reminder of what it means to make wishes come true. We tend to think of big corporations as nameless, faceless entities but this proves at least one has a heart and an understanding of the meaning of giving.
