Done...with riding in the passenger seat; he's back behind the wheel. Wayne says he hasn't gone this long without driving since he got his learner's permit at 14. Those are car keys in his left hand and he's putting them to use.
Done...with being just a spectator when it comes to golf; he's been cleared to return to playing. He'll be smart about it, hitting a few easy shots on the practice tee to see how it feels but he's looking forward to a return to the links. He rode 15 holes with his buddies on Tuesday which he enjoyed but it's not the same as playing.
Done...with physical therapy; he's met all the goals set for him. We can't say enough good things about the people at the Rehabilitation Institute but it will be nice not to make those weekly trips in for therapy. Don't get me wrong...Wayne hasn't quit working on strength and flexibility; he'll just do it himself from now on.
He looks pretty happy, doesn't he. He should. He's accomplished a lot in the past 7.5 weeks since his surgery and I couldn't be more proud of his dedication and effort. It's nice to be done with this phase of the recovery. Now on to the next one.
